FileZilla
Free client for Windows, macOS and Linux.
- Open File > Site Manager and select New site.
- Set Protocol to SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol, Host to sftp.dropwarden.com and Port to 22.
- Set Logon Type to Key file, enter your username and choose your private key. FileZilla may offer to convert the key; accept.
- Select Connect. On first connect, compare the host key fingerprint with the one in the portal before you trust it.
FTPS settings
For FTPS instead: set Protocol to FTP - File Transfer Protocol, Encryption to Require explicit FTP over TLS, Port to 21 and Logon Type to Normal, with your password. In Transfer Settings, choose Passive mode.
FTPS has no SSH key authentication, so FTPS logins always use a password. An organization admin must allow passwords for your organization and set one for your login. Prefer SFTP with an SSH key when your system supports it.
Verify the server on first connect: compare the host key fingerprint your client shows with the one in the portal under Get started, step Connect. If they differ, do not continue and contact [email protected].
